Today, as lululemon continues to deliver on its Impact Agenda goals, the company is proud to announce the sixth cohort of its Here to Be program. This year, 71 organizations from 13 countries across 4 continents were selected as grantees, with nearly half receiving funding from lululemon for the first time. The grantees were selected based on their innovative approaches to addressing barriers and systemic inequities in wellbeing, and the impact they have in their communities.

The Here to Be grant program is lululemon’s annual application-based program that provides grants to community-led organizations around the globe to accelerate their efforts at creating inclusive access to innovative wellbeing practices. The total combined funding distributed in this round is over $2.8 million USD, with an average grant size of around $40,000 USD.

“As we continue to live into our Impact Agenda goals, we are proud to share our sixth cohort of Here to Be grantees. The grants provided to the 71 community-led organizations aim to positively impact over 1.1 million people around the globe,” said Esther Speck, SVP, Sustainable Business & Impact. “We are honoured to provide support beyond funding, including opportunities for connection, access to wellbeing tools and resources, and skill-building workshops.”

Since inception in 2016, the program has positively impacted more than 1 million people globally as grant recipients help advance wellbeing equity in several ways, including facilitating financial accessibility, offering culturally sensitive programming, building community driven solutions, and advocating for systemic change. The 2022-23 cohort consists of both emerging and established organizations including Indigenous Life Sport Academy, Kolkata Sanved, Ramla Ali Sisters Club, The Downtown Eastside Neighbourhood House, and The Highland Project.
