This past weekend, lululemon welcomed more than 10,000 runners for the 7th SeaWheeze Half Marathon and Sunset Festival.

SeaWheeze has fast become one of the most popular half marathon experiences in the world and an unforgettable way to discover lululemon’s roots in the Pacific Northwest and the inspiration behind the iconic Canadian athletic brand.

The SeaWheeze race route showcases Vancouver’s picturesque waterfront. The course winds through Stanley Park and along the city’s extensive seawall, downtown and the beachside community of Kitsilano, where lululemon was founded and where its global headquarters and very first store are still located.

lululemon Ambassadors from around the world led runners past an array of energetic and eclectic cheer stations, featuring everything from a full-size boxing ring to outdoor spin classes to keep the sweat and fun flowing for 21.1 km.

The SeaWheeze Sunset Festival is the official after-party for runners, their friends and family, and the community of Vancouver. This year was the biggest yet to mark lululemon’s 20th birthday. Held in Stanley Park, with its stunning vistas of Coal Harbour and the city skyline, Sunset Festival kicked off with a group yoga practice led by lululemon Global Yoga Ambassador Janet Stone. Live musical performances by internationally-renowned DJ and producer, Diplo, and special guest Felix Cartal were capped off by a spectacular fireworks show. Local gourmet food and beverage offerings fueled festival-goers throughout the evening.
