lululemon has announced several key partnerships as the company continues to embed innovation throughout its business and make progress against the ambitious social and environmental commitments within its Impact Agenda.

  • lululemon has partnered with biotechnology company LanzaTech to create the world’s first yarn and polyester fabric using recycled carbon emissions that would otherwise be emitted to the atmosphere as pollution. Recycling carbon is a fundamental element of the circular economy, which will keep fossil carbon in the ground, reducing pollution and fossil fuel usage when used to make polyester. With a lower carbon footprint, this innovation could transform lululemon products and the apparel industry.
  • lululemon has partnered with Canada’s Digital Technology Supercluster to develop Wellbeing.ai, a digital wellbeing platform for people to better understand their physical and mental health through interactions with virtual agents. Working alongside the Canadian government, as well as other industry leaders such as Microsoft, this partnership is an important milestone as lululemon moves towards its Impact Agenda goal to provide access to wellbeing tools for more than 10 million people by 2025.
  • lululemon has partnered with leading sustainable materials innovator Genomatica in a multi-year collaboration to create a lower-impact, plant-based nylon to replace conventional nylon, which is the largest volume of synthetic material currently used to make lululemon products. The materials developed will help lululemon achieve its Impact Agenda goal of making 100% of its products with sustainable textiles by 2030, moving towards a circular ecosystem.
