lululemon is proud to celebrate three years of supporting the Girls Opportunity Alliance, and as part of the FURTHER initiative, the lululemon Centre for Social Impact is contributing an additional $1.5 million USD to advance wellbeing globally.

During FURTHER, lululemon hosted members of the Girls Opportunity Alliance Network at a first-of-its-kind women’s ultramarathon to witness this feat of endurance and human potential, connecting to both organizations’ shared commitment to empower women and girls globally.

Inclusive partnership and collaboration are at the heart of lululemon’s Centre for Social Impact, which accelerates the work of non-profit organizations that are actively addressing barriers and systemic inequities in wellbeing worldwide.

Girls Opportunity Alliance is a program of the Obama Foundation focused on empowering adolescent girls globally through education and wellbeing, allowing them to achieve their full potential. Since 2021, the Centre for Social Impact has contributed over $5 million USD in grants to advance the program’s work. To date, this funding has helped the Girls Opportunity Alliance to positively impact more than 120,000 girls around the world through scholarships, mentorship, and funding new learning centers.

“At lululemon, we believe that everyone has the right to be well, and we recognize that wellbeing is core to reaching one’s full potential,” said Esther Speck, Senior Vice President, Sustainable Business & Impact. “We are thrilled to deepen our commitment to Girls Opportunity Alliance and honoured to support this vital work. Together, we will advance solutions to improve wellbeing for all.”

This collaboration marks the most significant contribution to a non-profit partner to date through lululemon’s Centre for Social Impact, and is one way the Company is advancing its goal to provide access to wellbeing tools and resources to more than 10 million people by 2025.
